Drogba to make Chelsea return

Luiz Felipe Scolari says Didier Drogba could return to the squad despite rumours of a rift between the pair...

Drogba has not even made the bench for Chelsea's last two games against Southend in the FA Cup and Stoke in the Premier League...

His absence from the squad sparked suggestions the Ivory Coast ace was being made a scapegoat for the Blues' 3-0 defeat at Manchester United...

Scolari revealed before the weekend's win over Stoke that there was no issue with Drogba before omitting the forward from his plans for the 2-1 victory...

And the Chelsea boss has again stressed that there has been no falling-out and says Drogba could be involved for this Saturday's FA Cup fourth-round tie against Ipswich...

"It's a normal situation in the club because it is only a situation where for these two games I chose other players," Scolari told Chelsea TV...

"But maybe for next week Didier is together with the squad for the game against Ipswich. He doesn't have a problem with me and with the club...

"He is training very well. He starts to build again his condition very well, not only his fitness but technical also...

"It is only a choice by me for the moment for these two games...
