Season with a blazing fashion night....


Nokia, one of the leading trendsetter and innovators in design and style, brought together country's top three fashion houses in a common platform to present and showcase their trendy fashions to all fashion lovers. These three pioneering fashion houses are - Aarong, Kuhu and Mayasir. The three leading fashion houses joined with Nokia at a gala event at the Radisson Water Garden in the city Saturday night to set the style trend for the season...

Country's leading fashion designers, corporate personalities, media personnel, among others, were present at the function and enjoyed the newly seasonal designed wears of the following three fashion houses...

RJ Nawshin moderated the whole event. The event began with an orchestra performance. At first, the country's pioneering fashion house Aarong came out to the stage with the exquisite Jamdani collection for the upcoming 30 years' anniversary exhibition. Inspired by the power of woman, Aarong' ensemble was stamped with strong daring cuts and silhouettes fused with rich motifs and fine delicate weaving of the famous Jamdani. Royal shades of pink and purple add an extra splash of elegance to the saris. Models performed in a catwalk and presented the seasonal wears...

Then singer Anila along with her friends rendered five songs at a time including her popular number...

Then Kuhu's designer artist Kuhu came into the stage along with her collections of simple colors of black and white which are easy to wear and practical at any place and any time for the symbolic of 'Power Woman.' Chiffons and muslins done in dye painting and modern art prints and the art of 'origami' were expressed through the fashion of Kuhu. Models with Kuhu's fashion wears came to the stage and introduced her designs...

Country's top ramp models including Imi presented the fashionable wears at the show. Then popular artiste Fahmida Nabi rendered her popular number of songs...

At last, designer of Mayasir, Maheen Khan, introduced her designed, which reflects a vocabulary of indigenous Bangladeshi textile developed with precision and elegance-modern yet rooted. Maheen Khan's inspiration is drawn from her heritage in her use of eclectic palette of colour, fabric and embellishment...

While addressing about the event, Head of Marketing of Nokia Nowfel Anowar said, "Nokia and style are synonymous, which is why it makes sense for us to bring fashion to the forefront, launching the collections of some of the biggest names in fashion in Bangladesh."
