Koko sued for money laundering


The Anti-Corruption Commission today filed a case against Arafat Rahman Koko, son of former prime minister Khaleda Zia, on charge of laundering money, an official said.

ACC Deputy Director Abu Syed filed the case with Kafrul Police Station this afternoon for sending $ 9.32 lakh and S$ 28.84 lakh abroad in a bid to hide the illegal sources of the money.

According to the case details, the allegation was proved in the primary investigation of the anti-graft commission.
