Cactus League Monday Aftermath

The Oakland Athletics scored nine runs in the third inning to help them to a 10-8 win over a split-squad LA Dodgers.

Travis Buck homered and drove in three runs to help overturn an early 4-0 deficit, before adding another solo home run in the fifth to give the Dodgers a commanding lead.

Matt Kemp had an RBI double during the visitors' four-run second inning, while Juan Castro had an RBI single and Jason Repko drew a bases-loaded walk during the ninth-inning rally.

Elsewhere Todd Helton belted a two-run homer in the first inning and Huston Street pitched two perfect frames of relief as the Colorado Rockies cruised to an 8-3 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Chris Gimenez blasted a three-run, walk-off home run in the ninth inning to lift the Cleveland Indians to a 4-1 victory over the Seattle Mariners.

The rest of the Mariners' squad fared better against the other half of the Dodgers' line-up, with Russell Branyan hitting a homer and Adrian Beltre collecting a pair of hits as Seattle edged the tie 4-3.

Mark Teahen collected a pair of hits - including a two-run blast in the third inning - and scored three runs to lead the Kansas City Royals to an 11-7 triumph over the Chicago White Sox.

The Milwaukee Brewers hit five runs over two frames off Jeff Samardzija to run up a 9-6 victory over the Chicago Cubs while the Los Angeles Angels posted an 8-5 triumph over the San Francisco Giants.
