ICC lifts ban on Razzak

Bangladesh left-arm spinner Abdur Razzak has received clearance from the International Cricket Council (ICC) to bowl in international cricket, reports BCB's official website TigerCricket.com.

The ICC had suspended Razzak in November 2008 for an Illegal Bowling Action. He appeared for a reassessment of his action at the Australian Institute of Sports (AIS) in Canberra on 23 February and was subsequently cleared.

The ICC has informed the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) that Razzak’s bowling technique has changed to the extent that both his stock delivery and faster ball are now within the ICC tolerance level of 15° and his action was now legal.

As a result the previous suspension has been lifted and Razzak is once again permitted to bowl in international cricket.
